Innovation that Inspires: Yamaha Xeno New York Trumpets Allow Top Performers to Play with Their Most Expressive Sound
ANAHEIM (January 21, 2016) Yamaha today unveiled the company's YTR-9335NYSII and YTR-9445NYSII Xeno Artist Model New York Bb and C trumpet models for professional, advanced and elite orchestral performers.
The result of 15 years of consistent research and development, these new Xeno models offer premium sound quality, features and playability, and were designed with input from some of the top orchestral trumpet players in the world. They embody the highest levels of quality and craftsmanship, which is why the newest generation of Artist Model trumpets is quickly becoming the instrument of choice for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra players, as well as for students at many of the most prestigious music schools in the world.
"At the highest level, Yamaha strives to provide instruments that fully satisfy top artists, not only as a section but as individuals themselves," said Brian Petterson, marketing manager, wind instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. "The New York series trumpets have been greatly refined and offer the usual Yamaha quality, consistency and response, while also featuring the colorful tonal flexibility required of orchestral trumpets. This allows top performers to be more expressive for a greater personal connection with the instrument and a more meaningful artistic connection with the audience."
The YTR-9335NYSII and YTR-9445NYSII offer an upgraded leadpipe, improved bell design and square-style bend for more color and tonal balance across the sound spectrum. The lightweight valve casing and new piston alloy offers a natural, crisp response.
